  • i don't like your choice, so you can't get married.

i hate colorful wedding dresses. i think they're disgusting, horrifying, and far too bright and flashy. anyone who would like colorful wedding dresses is a morally deprived fool and a drain on our society. as such, their punishment for choosing to like those horrible dresses should be taking away their right to get married.

actually, though, they never had the "right" to get married in the first place. because marriage isn't a right. so it shouldn't be a big deal. they can still have civil unions. they can still live together. but they just can't get married, because I HATE one of their lifestyle choices. (i don't hate them though.)

if i were to let a person get married wearing a colorful wedding dress, my marriage with a normal white wedding dress won't mean as much. it won't be as beautiful. and allowing that will also mean that less people who don't like colorful wedding dresses - normal people like me - won't want to get married anymore either, because they might have to deal with other couples that do like colorful wedding dresses.

these people don't have to make this colorful CHOICE. and they still retain the right to get married, just like me - as long as they CHOOSE to get married the way I want them to. my way is right, because i say it is - and so it should be a law. it should be illegal for people to get married in anything other than white wedding dresses.

this is the morally correct thing to do. this is what IPU wants. and this is what i want. nobody can deny me this right!

    So here is my proposition:

    BAN GAUDY DRESS MARRIAGES!
